A Brilliant Weekend for England’s Under 18 Youth Fly Fishing Team

River Kennet Delivers Another Strong Day for the England Youth Fly Fishing Team

The England Under 18 River, Bank Fly Fishing Team enjoyed a fantastic weekend of fly fishing, with two excellent days on the water – Saturday at Farmoor Reservoir and Sunday on the River Kennet.

The six anglers selected for the England Under 18 River, Bank Fly Fishing squad spent the day boat fishing under bright, clear skies – far from ideal conditions for fly fishing. Despite this, every member of the team caught fish, showing excellent technique and adaptability.

Will Barnard and Mark Loughray, the fishery ranger at Farmoor, was outstanding. He and the staff gave the team a first class experience. The day was well run, enjoyable and full of learning. The atmosphere was electric and the young anglers were buzzing.

Sunday on the Kennet continued the success, with six team members of the England Under 18 River, Bank Fly Fishing Team once again showing their talent.

Many thanks to Mark and everyone who supported the weekend!
